New Moon in Aquarius: Radical Authenticity

What do you need to shed to create the life you dream of?

This New Moon initiates the Chinese New Year and the auspicious Year of the Wood Dragon. Dragons are the only mythical creature in the Chinese Zodiac. They control water and are shapeshifters, creators and destroyers. They beacon unprecedented opportunity, creative intelligence, and an ability to pursue our dreams with creative passion, courage, and confidence.

New Moons are potent times to set intentions for the next six months until the moon is full in the same sign when the Sun is at its opposite sign, in this case, Leo.

And because this New Moon in Aquarius also initiates a new cycle of Pluto in Aquarius, the seeds we plant now can create gardens that will sustain us for many years to come.

This is a time to move slowly with intention.

When we rush towards a goal, it’s more likely that our primary intention is to run away from something else.

As you untangle from the energy that is holding back, can you do so with great care? Can you honor the threads that held your life in place through fear, hardship, and worry?

There are important lessons in the parts of ourselves that are ready to be transformed.

There are gifts woven within challenge.

As you open yourself to greater authenticity, affirm to yourself:

~ My path is unique.

~ My path is my own.

~ My path is nonlinear.

~ My path is sacred.

~ My path is full of possibilities.

Affirm to yourself: In my authenticity, I am free.
